Our Capabilities

CNC Machining

From UAV components to microwave Sub Harmonically-pumped mixers (SHM), we tackle the highest levels of CNC work available using the latest in 3D CAD-CAM software available from GibbsCAM and Espirit.

We are specialists in low volume, high mix parts as well as production volume CNC machining of aluminum, steel, titanium, and alloy steels. We can accommodate a wide variety of parts with a huge work envelope in turning, milling and EDM (wire and sinker).

We have practiced Lean Manufacturing since 2019. Quick setup changes and single-piece flow have allowed us to reduce the cost to our customers and stay competitive in the industry. We operate 2 manned shifts and a largely unmanned third shift for lights-out machining.

We specialize in short lead times that some would describe as impossible. We are proud to be on the cutting edge of CNC technology and encourage all new customers to come out and take a tour of our facility to experience firsthand the many machining solutions we offer!

Fabrication and Repair

We have the largest dedicated fabrication facility in the area filled with highly skilled, certified welders, fabricators and machinists. Our professional and knowledgeable project management team has an average of 20 years of experience.  We work with all types of material including stainless steels for the food industry, various types of aluminum for aerospace and alloy steels for drilling and mining.

Our Repair process offers fast turnaround, reverse engineering, and a team of highly skilled welders and machinists.

Micro Machining

Our micro machining division is unsurpassed. With some of the best machinists in their class using ultra-modern machines like Yasda, Mori Seiki, Matsuura and Kitamura, tolerances of less than .0002 are routine in our climate controlled clean room.

Our Micro team has recorded machining details smaller than .0002″ in size and accurate to .0001 of an inch. These tolerances are verified through the latest microscope measuring systems available from Nikon and View.

The reputation of our micro division speaks for itself with 100% customer satisfaction. We’ve helped customers out of a bind more than a few times!

Support Functions

EDM Machining

EDM machining is another one of our strengths . We routinely machine complex 3D shapes with angles up to 45 degrees within a maximum work envelope of 23.6″ x 15.7″ x 16.7″ capable of using wire sizes of .oo4″-.012″ and resolution of +.000002″ (2 Millionths). Our EDM department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

EDMs are typically used in tool and die production but have many applications in manufacturing, aerospace and medical industries. Benefits of EDM machining include the ability to machine hard materials that are difficult to machine using traditional techniques. We typically machine pre-hardened materials without having to soften and then reharden. Materials conducive to EDM machining are any electrically conductive metals including Tool Steel (A2, D2, O1, etc.), Aluminum, stainless steel, hastelloy, monel and inconel.

Waterjet Machining

Our company was one of the first machine shops to own and operate a waterjet back in 1997. Today our water jet team has accrued over two decades of waterjet machining experience. During that time we have developed a dedicated waterjet production cell and maximized the capabilities of our waterjet machining centers. Our customers have come to expect the best quality at a great price with quicker lead times than any of our competitors.

Today we have a maximum working envelope of 6′ x 12′.  Edge taper is controlled with an articulating head which automatically compensates for draft angle to give your parts a perfectly straight edge. We routinely machine everything from alloy steels to aluminum, plastic, rubber, stone, glass, and MMCs. We typically cut less than 4″ of material but our machines are capable of piercing over 8″ of steel.

We prefer water jets due to their versatility and accuracy. Waterjet machined parts have no heat-affected zone, which is sometimes advantageous over laser and plasma especially when cutting aluminum, copper, brass, plastics, and laminates.

Quality Assurance

Our quality system matches the speed and accuracy of our well-oiled production machine. We are ISO9001 and AS9100 certified and located in a 2,600 sq. ft. climate controlled room. At the heart of our quality department is a (4′ x 8′) 5 axis Mitutoyo CMM, two smaller Cordax CMMs and the latest in CNC microscope measuring technology.

Our quality department provides both in-process and final inspection, which has brought our rejection rate down to near perfection. We routinely receive the highest quality rankings from our customers which we take very seriously and work hard to achieve.

We also provide inspection as a service to our customers. We can perform a complete 100% inspection of a production lot or just check a few critical features on a new or worn part.
